Saving Death: a Sister Cecile Mystery by Winona Sullivan

Sister Cecile of the Sisters of Our Lady of Good Counsel is back, and sought-after out by a rich Central Florida creator to puzzle out a twenty-year old stabbing satchel whose special traits witnesses are either departed or grudging to shovel up the chronological. Though Sister Cecile appreciates the private reconnaissance work, which keeps her Miami status locale for aging nuns maintained, she is loath to run rites when she believes the covering cannot be resolved after so long-dated. What she does not cognise is that that man who hired her was arrested and guilty wrongly for the aforesaid shooting. Having habitual a new existence xx eld after fugitive prison, he is dying for the truth, and for dissolution.

It turns out, however, that as Sister Cecile investigates, someone other wishes conclusion. In fact, human requirements to stop the tomb lid on the angelic nun herself beforehand she discovers too so much.

Cecile's detective manual labour (not to introduce the necessity to evade a hired bravo) takes her to Providence, where she mixes beside quite a lot of relatives of lad nun Sister Linda, who's hiding a few secrets under her own veil and gets too thoughtful into the cryptic lawsuit that, even when her benefactor desires to quit, she brainwave she cannot close until the shield is solved, even if it system her own vivacity.

I'm a big fan of Sullivan's crime novel stories, and Saving Death is a well-written, fast-paced installment to an general terrific run.
